Our work: Pineapple
Our purpose is to help African food processors grow. Here is a selection of our work: who supported it, what we did and what changed.
We work with dried pineapple in Benin and Angola. In Benin, through CBI's dried pineapple programme, we assessed 12 processing companies in depth and coached them on cost price and realistic ways to scale. Market missions to Germany and the Netherlands let processors see buyer expectations for themselves. In Angola we carried out the feasibility work for a dried fruit sector on the Lobito Corridor and designed a roadmap, testing markets before any money goes into plant.
