GROW Network
The GROW Network is Sense's network of African business coaches and technical experts. Members work on Sense projects and those of our partners, and get training and peer support.
Most development programmes depend on local experts, but those experts often get little support or recognition. GROW matches members to assignments in enterprise and market development, based on their skills and availability. Members complete a profile and a professional practice self-assessment, then take part in training, learning circles and peer mentoring. Training topics are chosen by members, such as proposal writing, pricing and technical skills for their sector. Not every member gets project work straight away. Sense uses the network to put the right specialist on a job, such as a food safety auditor or a finance coach, without flying in staff from abroad.
