Benin has a natural advantage in pineapple quality. Turning it into consistent exports to the EU takes scale, discipline and market realism. Through CBI's dried pineapple programme (2023 to 2028) we assessed 12 processing companies in depth, looking at production flow, food safety, costing, management and export potential. We coached enterprises on cost price, productivity and realistic ways to scale. Market missions to Germany and the Netherlands showed processors real shelf conditions and buyer expectations, and we designed CBI's support programme for the sector.
